Reddit is temporarily unavailable in Moosen

On September 30, Reddit announced it is closing its public API to third-party apps: it stops accepting new apps on October 31 and plans to shut off access for apps without an agreement with Reddit by March 2027. Since October 19, Reddit has been refusing every request Moosen makes for you, across all of our customers at once. Reddit hasn’t told us yet whether this is part of that change.

Hello!

If you don't use Moosen to post to Reddit, you can go ahead and skip this message.

But for those who do, we wanted to let you know since October 19, Reddit has been blocking third-party apps from its API, and Moosen is one of them.

Why is this happening?

This comes from Reddit, not from Moosen.

What changes while the block lasts

Reddit posts won’t publish. Scheduled Reddit posts fail with a “Reddit is temporarily unavailable” error. Other platforms in the same post still publish as normal.

Reddit messages, comments and analytics stop updating. Everything already synced stays in your dashboard.

You can’t connect new Reddit accounts. Your connected accounts stay connected, so there’s nothing to reconnect later.

Reddit Ads is not affected.

If Reddit restores access

If Reddit lifts the block, we’ll switch Reddit back on and let you know. You can then retry any failed Reddit posts from your dashboard.

Sorry for the disruption, and please just reach out to us if you have any questions.
Thanks for your business with Moosen!
